that's right!!! today, january 4th 2024, is the 1 year anniversary of this site's creation... i'm really thrilled!! this site has grown so much :3
even outside of the stuff listed on the milestones page, i think about this site in its earliest days, before i even made that page... did you know at first, this entire site was just one of my essays? and it didn't start out with a name either -- once i made a landing page, it was simply "site index", with the "vari webzone" title being adopted later on... i've continued to expand this site, with so many more things to see than when it first started out, and i'm very proud of it. it's nice and i think healing in a way to have a little corner of the internet made entrirely my own. :)
in the coming year i plan and hope to make it even bigger!! adding a light theme is a priority but still struggling with it unfortunately, i'll get there at some point but im very very bad at html/css in case u couldnt tell by how primitive this site is LOL, i don't even know how to make a proper nav menu :p
that aside though... other plans include fanpages, because i've decided i need to have parts of this website dedicated to my other interests!! most important to add right now are bfdi and splatoon, my two biggest special interests, since i've loved both of those for so many years that they're basically a part of me now xD ikaroll's splatoon shrine was my main inspiration for this idea; once i saw how awesome it was i just had to plan something similar!! and i really do have so much to say about those subjects that they'll definitely be getting their own essay pages, so stay tuned to hear me yammer on even more about the things i like...
thank you to everyone who has viewed this site, read any of my essays, followed my page, and left kind messages in my guestbook -- i appreciate it greatly. you all inspire me to keep updating!!! i can't fully express it in words but the support really does mean so so much to me, and i'm glad that my computer-loving shenanigans are able to touch so many people... <3
